Love the confidence. I’m still doing the course.
I’m not taking clients or offering appointments to the public. Right now, I’m studying and doing my friends’ and daughters’ nails while I complete my course. This private calendar is only for arranging practice with my invited friends and family as hand models. Bring your patience. Maybe a snack. We could be here a while.
Learning is not a free pass on safety. Hygiene, infection prevention, safe product use and knowing the limits of my training matter from day one, even when the hands belong to someone I love. Being a friend, family member or practice model doesn’t make safety optional.
I’m still undecided where this will all take me, but I’m in the process of seeking approval for a home-based salon, just in case. That means following the requirements in my state and working through the local council process to find out whether I can even have one, and what I’d need to do. Approval is still a work in progress.
And of course, I’ll bring you on that journey too. Apparently we’re learning about council approvals alongside cuticles now.

I’m sharing my learning journey, not giving professional training or permission to start a salon. Don’t assume that practising at home or calling someone a model means requirements don’t apply. Check your own situation with your course provider, local council and relevant health authority.
